Richard Lawhun

Executive Vice-President

Rick became the Executive Vice-President of the North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (NCNLA) in September 2018. He directs day-to-day administrative and operational activities in support of the mission and objectives of the organization as set by the Board of Directors. Rick reports directly to the board and oversees staff in developing programs and services that provide value to NCNLA members.

Kathryn Stansbury

Director of Business Development

Kathryn joined NCNLA as Director of Business Development in August of 2016 and has worked in the association world for over 13 years. She is responsible for building, retaining and engaging NCNLA’s membership as well as increasing the value of membership through new programs, services and products. She also coordinates the Green & Growin’ marketplace and assists with other association events. Her position is aligned with NCNLA’s core revenue streams including trade shows, non-dues partnerships and membership.

Victoria Torino, CFO, EA, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Victoria joined NCNLA as Chief Financial Officer in April 2019. She manages NCNLA's finances and is responsible for financial reporting, helps to set and track financial goals, objectives and budgets.

Cindy Whitt

Director of Marketing & Communications

Cindy joined NCNLA as Director of Marketing & Communications in May 2019. She is responsible for general marketing, communications and branding for NCNLA, including general promotion of the industry and association members. She manages the association’s print and digital publications; social media accounts and websites; and coordinates media relations. She also oversees sales and sponsorships for NCNLA publications and events.

Christine Wilks

Director of Lifelong Learning

Christine joined NCNLA as Director of Lifelong Learning in January 2020. She is responsible for delivering educational opportunities to the green industry and increasing the value and visibility of the certification program. She also coordinates high-value events, sessions, and experiences that enhance the professional and technical skills of industry personnel.
