Future Plant Professional Launching Soon!

The NCNLA's Future Plant Professional Program, set to launch in Fall 2024, is a pioneering initiative aimed at high school students aspiring to join the green industry. This program is a key component of the plant professional certification "family," with the renowned Certified Plant Professional (CPP) serving as the gold standard.

Designed to differentiate participants from their peers, the program evaluates the knowledge, skills, and abilities of high schoolers interested in pursuing careers within the green industry. By focusing on the talent pipeline to the industry, the Future Plant Professional Program seeks to bridge the gap between education and employment, equipping students with the necessary expertise and credentials to excel in their chosen field.

This initiative aims to heighten awareness of the green industry among high school students, showcasing the diverse and rewarding career opportunities available within this sector. By nurturing a new generation of plant professionals, the program not only meets the industry's evolving demands but also cultivates a sustainable future for both individuals and the environment.

This NCNLA Future Plant Professional program development is being spearheaded by Dr. Jason Davis, University of Mount Olive, and is supported by a task force of six industry professionals.
